My boys

My 120 pound freshman getting ready to wrestle. he wrestled all season at 113, but another kid wanted to wrestle 113 so he could go to State and win another championship.(Which, he DID do, so good on him :) ) Did I really think think that it was fair? No. My feelings were that if the boy really wanted to wrestle 113 at regionals, then he should have wrestled that weight all season long. But it was what it was. Clifford went out and gave 120 the best shot he could. Can't ask for anything better than that. There was a chance he could have made it, but he was the victim of a mistake, lol, and so he didn't. Actually, the way his knee is now, it's probably for the best that things went as they did. The spring wrestling club starts in a week and a half, and will keep us busy until June.
Coach Williams- one half   of the best wrestling coach teams.  I have ever known. The fact that I only know like 5 shouldn't take away from my statement. LOL!
Getting some last minute instruction from Coach Uy. Both redheads are mine <3
Clifford, his dad, and Mitchel, our 106 pound State Champ. Heaven only knows what they were talking about.
 My 145 pound Senior, Jonathan.

The Duggar Famiy

I really enjoy watching the TLC programs about the Duggar family, but the new season is killing me. Michelle is doing all those healthy things- exercise, vitamins, eating better, and she lost her baby. Of course, on the show she is still pregnant, still excited about a new baby, even talking of how she is hoping to go full term with her. It breaks my heart to watch, KNOWING what is to come. I don't know how she can watch these episodes. I just assume she is, because she has said that they always go to Jim-Bob's sister's house to watch the new episodes. The other night they were talking of how grateful that they are to have new life, because the Lord gives and takes away. Such foreshadowing.
When they showed the episode with the ultrasound, and I saw that perfect little wiggly baby- again, KNOWING what would transpire in just another short month- broke my spirit.

Views on the way back from Charlotte to Home.

My beautiful granddaughter, Isabella. How I love her:)

First Photo Post

So, I have decided to make a photo blog. I have a feeling that a lot of my pictures were boring people to tears over at my facebook page. I have to say that I am very grateful to God for moving me from Canton, Ohio, to Western North Carolina. I just don't see that there would ever be as many beautiful photo opportunities for me in Canton, no mountains, no streams, no rivers, no waterfalls. No National Forests. Yes, God has blessed me.
Mr. Squirrel eating a nut atop a dumpster enclosure this morning.
Lake Lure, NC. The water was 8 feet below normal, but I was told that the dam was going to be opened this afternoon to fill it back up. The marina has been rebuilt, and other work is now complete, and the water should be back up within days.
Hickory Nut Falls, located in Bat Cave, NC.  Parts of the movie, Last of the Mohicans, was filmed here.

Chimney Rock, NC
Another view of Lake Lure. The movie, Dirty Dancing, was filmed in part here.
Looking Glass Falls, near Brevard, NC, in the Cradle of Forestry.
Random small waterfall, also located near Brevard, NC.

Actually, I have plenty to say, and lots of thinking goes on in my head, I just don't know how to articulate them:D
